Student accommodations at DCT are in double or large triple hotel-style rooms equipped with private toilet (bathroom) with bathtub & shower, television, refrigerator, telephone, balcony, lake and/or mountain view, and free wireless Internet access 24/7. Deluxe double and single rooms are available at an extra charge. Bed sheets, pillows, and blankets are provided, but students are requested to bring their own towels. At no addition fee, students can stay on campus during the vacations between terms, and can enjoy all meals seven days per week. DCT
provides all students a home away
from home, including a Student Lounge open 24-hours daily for
relaxing,
watching movies, playing pool, or just getting together with fellow
students. An on-campus fitness center, exercise equipment and a sauna
are available to students at no charge. |
Throughout a student’s studies on campus, during Internship, and even after graduation, DCT provides a range of student assistance including:
Academic
- Free unlimited faculty "Office Hours" (tutoring) during which students can ask questions or receive academic assistance
- Study Skills Seminar with DCT's Academic Dean offering guidance on appropriate time management and university-level study habits
- Library Orientation introducing research
skills and physical and electronic resources
Non-Academic and Personal
- Confidential student counseling service available to students with a need for personal guidance
- Regular “Campus Updates” to announce upcoming events, news and other items of interest
- Swiss internship and international career placement assistance at no additional fee
Computers
A wireless network covers the entire DCT campus, allowing students with their own computers unlimited free Internet access 24/7 from the comfort and privacy of their own rooms and offering greater convenience in completing assignments and personal computer use.
DCT also maintains a public Computer Room with all machines connected to the Internet and equipped with appropriate software such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader and communication programs such as Skype.
Learning Resource Center
DCT's Library is a meeting point for all students where they read current issues of magazines and journals or specialized books in many categories, or gather for study groups. DCT also provides a digital library of e-books, journals and online databases that can be accessed by logging in to the campus intranet, myDCT.
