The Lynn
University Switzerland Program is an exclusive arrangement through which
students
may remain in residence after completing the DCT Advanced Diploma in
Hotel
& Tourism Management and pursue an American Bachelor’s degree
offered
through Lynn University’s College of Hospitality Management. The program
can be
completed in as little as six months.
Classes in
the Lynn University Switzerland Program are delivered to students on the
DCT
University Center campus using three delivery approaches:
Videoconferencing,
Online, and On-Site. The classes taught using videoconferencing
technologies
enable synchronous (live) exchange, which means that students have
real-time
interaction with the professor during the class period using a direct
connection system between the Lynn University and DCT campuses.
The online
courses in the program are taught via the Internet, which utilizes an
asynchronous
(self-paced) online platform – Blackboard. Taking a course
through this system means that most of the
work is done through web-facilitated exchange between the student and
the
faculty member. In courses offered
online, the student has the opportunity to interact with the professor
in
different ways such as through discussion boards, email, Skype, chats
and
personal videoconferences.
